Responsible giving

These terms exist to protect you, the causes you support, and the platform that connects you.

They cover how donations work, what happens with payments, how 80G certificates are processed, and what we're each responsible for. Simple, honest, and transparent- the way giving should be.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the True Impact Foundation website or services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or make a donation through the platform.

“True Impact Foundation”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to the organisation operating this website. “User”, “donor”, “you”, or “your” refers to any person who visits, uses, donates, submits information, or interacts with our services.

2. What This Platform Does

True Impact Foundation enables people to support verified causes, campaigns, NGOs, and impact initiatives. Campaign pages may include donation goals, product requirements, donor counts, images, stories, updates, and transparency information to help donors make informed decisions.

We aim to keep information accurate and meaningful, but campaign circumstances may change due to operational realities, beneficiary needs, NGO updates, product availability, logistics, or compliance requirements.

3. Making a Donation

  • Donations made through the website are voluntary contributions towards the selected campaign or cause.
  • You may donate a custom amount, a suggested amount, or choose specific products/items where the campaign supports product-based giving.
  • Product images, names, quantities, and descriptions are provided for clarity. Final procurement or delivery may depend on availability, campaign need, pricing, logistics, and NGO requirements.
  • If a selected product becomes unavailable, impractical, overfunded, or no longer required, we may use the donation for a similar item, related campaign need, logistics, or the same cause in a responsible manner.
  • Public donor displays may show donor name, donation count, amount, or anonymous status depending on your selected preference and platform functionality.

4. Payments & Confirmations

Payments are processed through third-party payment gateways. By making a donation, you agree to the terms and privacy practices of the applicable payment provider. We are not responsible for gateway downtime, banking failures, UPI delays, card failures, or third-party technical issues.

After a successful payment, we may generate a donation receipt and send it to the email address provided by you. Please ensure your name, email, phone number, and other details are accurate before submitting.

5. Your 80G Certificate

Where applicable and subject to eligibility, donors may be able to submit details for an 80G certificate. The certificate process may require accurate PAN, full name as per PAN, city, state, PIN code, email, phone, and donation information.

  • Incorrect or incomplete details may delay, block, or invalidate certificate processing.
  • We may contact you to verify information before issuing or correcting a certificate.
  • Certificate availability, format, and eligibility are subject to applicable Indian tax laws, registration status, internal verification, and donation records.
  • We do not provide personal tax advice. Donors should consult their tax advisor for claiming deductions or filing returns.

6. Campaigns & Verification

Campaign stories, NGO information, updates, documents, images, budgets, product requirements, and beneficiary details may be provided by campaign teams, NGO partners, volunteers, or authorised representatives. We may review information before publishing, but donors should understand that impact work involves real-world changes and operational limitations.

We reserve the right to approve, reject, pause, edit, remove, or close campaigns where information is incomplete, misleading, outdated, unlawful, harmful, unverifiable, or inconsistent with our mission.

7. Refunds & Failed Payments

Donations are generally final once successfully processed because funds may be allocated towards the selected cause, product procurement, campaign support, logistics, or beneficiary needs. However, we may review refund requests in cases such as duplicate payment, technical error, incorrect amount, failed transaction that was later debited, or other exceptional circumstances.

  • Refund requests must include payment ID, order ID, donor name, phone number, email, amount, and reason for request.
  • Gateway charges, bank charges, or processing timelines may apply depending on the payment provider.
  • Failed or pending payments should not be treated as completed donations until confirmed by our records or payment gateway response.
  • We may reject refund requests if the donation has already been substantially processed, utilised, receipted for tax purposes, or transferred for campaign fulfilment.

8. Your Responsibilities

When using the website, you agree to provide accurate information and to avoid misuse of the platform.

  • Do not submit false donor details, fake PAN details, misleading campaign information, spam, abusive content, or unauthorised data.
  • Do not attempt to interfere with website security, payment flows, campaign data, donor records, or platform functionality.
  • Do not use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, hateful, or harmful purposes.
  • Do not copy, misuse, scrape, reproduce, or commercially exploit website content, campaign stories, images, donor data, or platform design without permission.

9. Campaign Content & Updates

Campaign images, product images, beneficiary stories, videos, donor updates, and impact reports may be used to communicate the purpose and progress of campaigns. Some images may be representative or edited for privacy, dignity, safety, or design consistency. We may remove or modify content at our discretion.

10. Third-Party Services

The website may include links to payment gateways, social platforms, NGO websites, analytics services, email tools, WhatsApp tools, logistics partners, or other third-party services. We are not responsible for third-party content, downtime, policies, actions, failures, or data practices.

11. Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, True Impact Foundation shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from website use, payment gateway failures, third-party services, campaign changes, delayed updates, user-submitted errors, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update or modify these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the website after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, disputes shall be handled by the competent courts or authorities in India.
