Privacy-first giving

We collect only what's needed to process your donation, issue your receipt, and send your 80G certificate.

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with anyone who doesn't need it to make your donation work. And we never will.

Here's exactly how it works.

1. What We Collect

We may collect information that you provide directly, information generated during your use of the website, and information required to process donations, receipts, impact updates, and tax documentation.

  • Donor details: name, email address, phone number, donation amount, selected campaign, selected products, payment status, receipt information, and communication preferences.
  • 80G certificate details: PAN number, full name as per PAN, city, state, PIN code, and other details required to issue or process an 80G certificate where applicable.
  • Campaign or NGO request details: organisation name, point of contact, email, phone, location, website, FCRA-related responses, social media links, campaign story, cause details, and supporting information submitted by you.
  • Payment and transaction details: payment ID, order ID, transaction status, payment gateway response, donation amount, platform support amount, refund or failed-payment status, and related records.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser, device type, operating system, pages visited, referring URL, cookies, analytics data, and logs used to protect the website and improve performance.

2. Why We Use It

We use your information for lawful, donation-related, operational, security, compliance, and communication purposes.

  • To process donations, product donations, payments, receipts, and donation confirmations.
  • To generate, verify, and email donation receipts and 80G certificates where applicable.
  • To show donor details, donor counts, campaign progress, impact updates, and transparency information. If you choose to donate anonymously, we use that preference in public donor displays where supported.
  • To review campaign requests, verify campaign information, communicate with NGOs or campaign representatives, and prevent misuse of the platform.
  • To provide support, respond to queries, resolve payment issues, investigate failed payments, and handle duplicate or incorrect submissions.
  • To send important service messages, donation updates, impact updates, certificate-related emails, and, where permitted, newsletters or campaign communications.
  • To improve website design, user experience, fraud protection, security monitoring, analytics, and platform reliability.

3. Payments, Receipts & 80G Certificates

Payments are processed through third-party payment gateways and banking partners. We do not store sensitive card details such as full card numbers, CVV, or net-banking passwords on our servers. Payment information is handled by the relevant payment provider according to its own terms and privacy policy.

For receipts and 80G certificates, we collect the information required to generate accurate documents. Incorrect PAN, name, state, city, PIN code, email, or phone details may delay or prevent certificate processing. We may contact you to verify or correct submitted details.

4. Who We Share It With

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information only where necessary for service delivery, legal compliance, fraud prevention, and impact transparency.

  • Payment gateways and banks: to process payments, refunds, reconciliation, and transaction verification.
  • Email, SMS, WhatsApp, and automation providers: to send receipts, 80G certificates, donation confirmations, campaign updates, and support messages.
  • NGO partners and campaign teams: where required to confirm donation details, product delivery, campaign progress, and impact reporting.
  • Logistics, audit, compliance, legal, or technical service providers: only for their assigned function and subject to confidentiality or appropriate restrictions.
  • Government, law enforcement, courts, regulators, or tax authorities: where required by applicable law or valid legal process.

5. Cookies & Analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, improve page performance, analyse traffic, detect abuse, and support marketing or measurement activities. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some website features may not work properly if cookies are disabled.

6. Communication From Us

We may send donation-related service messages, receipts, certificate updates, and campaign impact updates. Where you opt in or where permitted by law, we may also send newsletters or campaign communications. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Service-related messages may still be sent when necessary.

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain personal information for as long as necessary for donation records, tax documentation, accounting, legal obligations, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legitimate operational purposes. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of record and applicable legal requirements.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards to protect information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no website, payment system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Children & Minors

Our services are not intended for children under 18 years of age without the involvement of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us.

9. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, payment pages, social platforms, NGO pages, or service providers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of those external websites. Please review their policies before sharing information with them.

10. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, update, deletion, restriction, or withdrawal of consent for certain personal information. Some information may need to be retained for legal, tax, accounting, security, or donation record purposes.
