Story
When a loved one passes away, the last thing a family should have to worry about is how they will afford the final farewell. Yet, many families face exactly that. This Shraadh and Pitrapaksh, some are still struggling to arrange the last rites their loved ones deserve.
There was a family who had only Rs 1,000 left after losing their loved one. With no way to manage the remaining expenses, they turned to Chir Chirag Foundation. The team took care of the ambulance, arthi, transportation, and complete last rites, so the family did not have to bear the financial burden.
The team also takes on difficult cases that others hesitate to approach. In one recent case, three members went out at 1 AM to recover a severely decomposed body when even the police were hesitant to enter.
Today, the foundation has only one second-hand ambulance. When multiple emergencies occur at the same time, the team has to rely on rented vehicles.
This Shraadh, help Chir Chirag Foundation reach more people in need and give them a dignified final journey.
