For nearly 38 years, Parag Patil has dedicated his life to athletics. He has represented India at international championships, won multiple medals for the country, and dreams of bringing home 100 medals for the Tiranga. Today, despite working as an Ola and Uber driver to support his family, he continues training every day with one goal that is to make India proud once again.
A Dream To Represent India
As a young boy, Parag Patil’s dream was to serve India. In 1988, a school teacher recognised his talent and encouraged him to pursue athletics. That one opportunity changed his life. For nearly 38 years, Parag has dedicated himself to representing India through athletics, with the dream of bringing more medals home for the Tiranga.
Running For India

Parag has represented India in several international Masters Athletics championships and is currently preparing for three more international events. His next milestone is completing 25 international medals, while his lifelong dream is to win 100 medals for India.
The Sacrifice Behind Every Medal
"I have never had the support of sponsors or professional funding. Every international competition has been funded through my own savings and private loans. My wife has made countless sacrifices for these medals. She even had to part with her mangalsutra so I could continue representing India. Despite every hardship, she never asked me to give up." — Parag Patil
Driving To Keep The Dream Alive
Today, Parag works as an Ola and Uber cab driver in Mumbai, driving 12–18 hours every day before returning to the athletics track for training.

Representing India Against All Odds
Parag has competed despite financial hardships that would have forced many to quit. In Italy, he survived mainly on hotel breakfast for nearly two weeks. In New Zealand, he returned to compete despite a serious knee injury. In Australia, he travelled with only 100 Australian Dollars, yet returned with medals for India.
