Flash Floods Affected 40000+ Lives, Stranded and Waiting For Relief, Help

In the early hours of wednesday morning, relentless rainfall triggered flash floods and landslides across Arunachal Pradesh’s Keyi Panyor district, ripping through the NEEPCO project colony near Poosa with no warning. Jokes were buried under mud and debris. Roads connecting six districts to the rest of the state snapped overnight. The floods then moved to cause havoc in Assam.
The disaster has affected 40000 people and 5 people are still missing. Rescue operations are in full swing but relief is not enough. This fundraiser aims to send urgent medical kits and food relief to the affected.

Fourteen tourists were evacuated from Ziro to Naharlagun. Eleven more, along with a patient, were airlifted out of Daporijo. SDRF teams, police, NEEPCO staff, ex-servicemen, and local volunteers have all been on the ground since Wednesday. These are ordinary people doing extraordinary things in extraordinarily difficult conditions: searching through sludge, clearing roads by hand, carrying the sick and stranded to safety.
But what comes after the rescue is just where the real need begins. Families who have lost their homes, their belongings, and in some cases their people, now face the question of what they return to. Temporary shelter, food, clean water, medicine, and the means to rebuild, these are not things that arrive on their own.
Stand by Arunachal and Assam today. Every rupee you give goes directly toward emergency supplies, temporary shelter, and support for those who have lost everything to water and mud and landslides that came before dawn. This is urgent.
