Every year, during the holy month of Shravan, something extraordinary happens across India.
Millions of Kanwariyas—men, women, young and old—embark on a sacred journey.
With bare feet, blistered soles, and unwavering devotion, they walk hundreds of kilometers to collect Ganga Jal and offer it to Lord Shiva.
From Haridwar to Deoghar, from Ujjain to Neelkanth, this is not just a pilgrimage—
It’s a tapasya.
A test of faith, pain, silence, and surrender.
They walk under the burning sun, chanting “Har Har Mahadev” with every breath.
Their journey is a symbol of the deepest human devotion—one that doesn’t seek rewards, only union with the Divine.
And while their souls are fueled by devotion, their bodies still need food, water, medicine, and rest.

At True 1mpact Foundation, we believe that to feed a hungry devotee is to offer bhog to Shiva Himself.
Each Shravan, our on-ground volunteers walk the same dusty paths,
Not with Kanwars but with:
